Visual and practical differences among the sites

Good morning!!!
How are you feeling today?

Today we are going to compare some different web pages that had been created using different CMS. On the previous entry, we talked about Joomla! And how useful it was. Now we are going to see some other CMS.
As we can see, Joomla! is a CMS that allows you to edit everything you want on your web page. This has its advantages and drawbacks, you are free to personalise your web as you wish, but also you have to do it. These web pages are created with Joomla!:

I.E.S. Cavanilles

I.E.S. Doctor Balmis

In these web pages we can find a similar format. They are quite simple, but intuitive. They have the name of the school on the left top of the page and a menu where you can find the different sections. They add pictures to the information and the design is practical. Both of them use a white background to make letters more clear.

The next CMS we are going to see is PHP-Nuke.

I.E.S. Los Ángeles

This web page is different to the previous ones. The design is more modern and sophisticated. The menu is intelligent and when you put your mouse on it, the bottom gets bigger. Despite this, the chosen colours and the disposition of the information let us think that the web page was created years ago.

  The next CMS is SPIP:

Ntra. Sra. de los Dolores

This web page is quite modest. On the left, we can find a menu shown as a history like on blogs, where you can find the publications classified by months. The selected colours give the appearance of being not finished yet. Nevertheless, is really intuitive and the information is clear.

Now is the turn of Zikula:

Institut Cap Norfeu

This web page if similar to those we have seen on SPIP. It includes a vertical menu but also a calendar where you can see the important dates. The colours are the same: blue, green and white. This is because they are eyes-friendly. The web is simple and clear as well. They show the news like an online newspaper, so it's really easy to find them and give a look over them and want to read them.

The next one is Mestre a casa:

I.E.S. La Canyada

I.E.S. Haygon

Both pages share the same template. The name of the school is at the top, in the second one we can find it in a picture, but in the first one, the picture is the school and the name in on the left. The both have a horizontal menu with the sections and then, the information in vertical spaces. Again, we can find the same colours: green, blue and white. Surprinsingly, the first school has selected a black background for the picture in order that the school is better seen.

Now it's time to see Moodle:

FPA Ibi

This adult’s high school has preferred to use Moodle instead. Moodle is quite useful because all the information is classified in sections and you can see a calendar with all the deadlines. In addition, it allows you to upload entries with pictures and extra information. The bad point about it is that you can't personalise it as you can in a web page, so all Moodle platforms are equal.

And the last CMS and the one that I prefer, Drupal:

I.E.S. Enric Soler i Godes

           I.E.S. Salesianos

Both web pages have a horizontal menu with the sections and the information displayed below it. But which I really like is the Salesianos one. They have used the red colour, which is really attractive and the web page is intelligent. Pictures move when you put your mouse on it and its design is really modern.

The information is under the intelligent pictures and it's inside squares that make the impression of being clean, because is really well-organised.

The selected colours are bright and catch your attention. Moreover, they use funny draws to make children interest in the activities. I would totally choose this web page among the others because it's really worth the effort of creating it.
