A little bit of myself

Welcome to my new blog
  As you can see, this is my new blog, where I will be posting interesting things about education and one of the subjects I like the most: Language and Literature. In order to make this experience entertaining, I will be talking about how we can use technology in the classroom as well. But, first of all, let's start talking about who I am.  
  My name is Noelia Lillo and I'm 23 years old. I have studied Spanish Philology and some months ago I finished my Master in Secondary School by which I will become a teacher. Now I'm studying this course to improve my skills and learn new things that I can use in the classroom. By now, you should be wondering: 'why are you studying in English if you are a Spanish Language and Literature teacher?'. Well, that's fair. The answer is that I had always loved this language. When I was a child I started learning it and I totally got hooked. I managed to get the C1 level of Cambridge (the Advanced exam) and now I'm the happiest person in the world. It was incredibly challenging but worthy. Nowadays, I'm working as a teacher in a private academy.
  A part from that, I consider myself skilled enough in technologies, but there is always something new to learn. In my daily life, I use a laptop and a smartphone. The programmes I use frequently are PowePoint and Microsoft Word, but if we talk about applications, I use some social networks such as Whatsapp, Facebook, Blogger, Google Docs, Drive, Itunes, Spotify, YouTube and so on. I have two tablets at home but I don't use them too much.
  To conclude this introduction, this is my first online course, I have never studied one before and I'm looking forward to see how it works. It's quite disconcerting not to see the teachers, although I can organise myself and work in a suitable timetable for me.

Padlet

Hi everyone again! How are you?   Today we have something special. Have you ever heard about Padlet? Padlet  is an online tool that allows you to create an interactive web page where you can post information or photogaphs using different templates.   I've used it to create a web where you can find different tools to use in the classroom as a teacher but also as a student. Students’ Needs

Good morning everyone! How is Christmas going?    In this entry we are going to talk about student's needs in the classroom, this is the  type of linguistic exchanges that students need to use.   For this activity, I've selected the first year of Bachillerato, where we can find our subject: Universal Literature.   While the lesson is going on, our students will need a certain level of English to understand it. The materials they will be working with, would be in English, such as their textbook, articles, the literary works and the digital content and tools that can be used (PowerPoint presentations, online dictionaries, moodle, and so on). Moreover, in order to understand some of the literary works, we can use films to illustrate them.
